The SKILLS MATRIX is very useful when you are building or growing your startup team, to make sure that you have all hard- and soft skills in house to grow and scale!

This template is very easy to use, but requires some input from you or your team.

At first you need to identify ALL the HARD SKILLS you need for your business to succeed! And I'm not only talking about the very obvious skills such as 'html coding' for a website development company. You need to identify and list the minor skills too, some skill you might only need once in a while, but is essential and useful?!

I provide you also with a list of SOFT SKILLS that are important to identify and understand how people are wired. This can be about the way they communicate, their ability to focus or providing feedback to team members. It's important to review this list and add SOFT SKILLS you think are essential to identify with your team members.

Lastly I believe it's important to understand the connection your team members have with your company values. Since they are the core of your growing business, it's important to all be aligned for the same goal!

You can also use this list in the hiring process to understand which boxes someone is checking.
